How we check facts
Last full check: 2 Oct 2026
Our comparison tables report what vendors publish about their own products. This page explains how a figure gets into a table and what the tables cannot tell you.
One fact, one source, one date
Every cell in a comparison table comes from a single list, the fact ledger. Each entry records four things: what the vendor page said, the address of that page, the date we read it, and whether we could verify it.
Verified and not verified
Verified means we read the figure on the vendor's own pricing or product page on the date shown.
Not verified means we could not. The page may have blocked our reader, shown no price without signing in, or shown figures that conflicted. We leave the cell marked. We do not fill it from other websites or from memory.
Best for and not ideal for
These lines are written only from facts in the ledger, and each one names the facts it rests on. They describe fit by price, limits and listed features. They are not a judgement of how good a tool's answers are.
What the tables cannot tell you
- We do not run our own speed or quality tests for the comparison pages, so they carry no scores.
- Vendors describe many free-plan limits in words rather than numbers. We repeat their wording.
- Vendor pages were read on 1 and 2 October 2026 from a connection in Australia. Where a vendor shows local prices, we took the US-dollar figure from its United States page or its help centre and link to that page. Where we could not read a US-dollar price, the cell says so and names the currency we saw. Prices in other countries can differ.
- Prices change. The date in each cell tells you how old the figure is.
Older guides
The guides in the archive were written before this method was introduced in October 2026. Some include ratings or prices from the time of writing. Where a guide and a comparison page differ, the comparison page is the newer figure.
Corrections
If a figure is out of date, send us the vendor page. We re-check and update the ledger, and every table that uses the figure changes with it.
